How Reinhart is used has changed since his nerfs.

Before:

Reinhart is primarily used for poking - charging / denying ult charge at choke points.
Takes a long time to break his shields so teams use Reinhart passively to poke and wait for either a man advantage or ults ready before committing to an engage.

On Payload maps he is purely used to push the cart from the front shields up.

Now:

Rein shields break within seconds of semi focus fire by 2 DPS's. Using him to poke is not longer viable especially in pro scene.
Teams that pick Rein do so simply for his Earthshatter and the fact that he is a free area denial to Genji's.
Full health Reinhart can kill full health ulting Genji for eg.

Teams no longer poke and deathball in. They regroup behind cover, Lucio boosts, Rein shields up and the whole team walks in behind the temporary shield from choke to closest cover. Once shield breaks Winston/ DVa jumps and Rein charges in after them. Enemies then would have to decide between turning around to shoot tanks or engage on the exposed DPS+Supports.

This works especially well when Rein charges in with Earthshatter. Enemy Rein gets instantly put in a catch 22 situation. Block the ult and die to DPS or block DPS and gets hammered down.

On Payload, Reinhart now walks behind the cart saving his shield when enemies decide to contest and halt the push.

Tier 1 - Newbie Tank

Interesting gun mechanics on this Heavy Defensive Galleon.

Broadsides do more damage the longer you shoot the same target and has a single fire nuke on the front gun that you can use to instantly deplete enemy shields or finish them off when they are on less than 400 HP. Module options are less interesting though that pigeonholes this ship towards a specific playstyle. Functional but one trick pony stuff. I used to main tank back in Star Conflict so the ship felt comfortable to fly.

Gets countered hard by the small and fast moving assassin types coz you cannot reliably raise your damage against them. Can win 1v1 versus all the other ship types though.

Long Range heavy galleon. Front gun slows enemy, side gun bursts them down.
Thanks to the slows, Sniper class in Cloud Pirate actually has a functional Team role.
